I'm by no means a hardcore pink fan, I'm just feeling girly rn I suppose. XD It'll probably all stay pink like this till I get sick of it. The thing however is that I barely see either screens as I have Chrome or Word opened all the time or smth so it might take a while until I decide to change things around. Sometimes I even forget what pic I'm using as my wallpaper lol.

How come you don't like Win 8? Just asking since I've noticed that a lot of people seem to dislike it and it made me curious why.

I won't comment on Drew's reasoning but a lot of people don't like the interface and how it is different from the regular cookie cutter Taskbar-only set up. Personally, I like how they're try to stray from the norm but I dislike how you have to have an account to actually use the setup.

Like how Microsoft is handling things now a days is use their product the way they want you to. It's just messy in my opinion. I want to be able to click on my start bar, not a start screen, have my own desktop design not a desktop that looks like an iPhone. Basically hate the interface, I would rather stay with Windows 7 and not like what schylige said, I like staying with the normal windows setup. Tried it, hate it. Went back to 7 lol. There's tons of people that hate it, but again it's personal taste, not saying you should use it lol.

I see, indeed it comes down to personal taste. I actually agree with Schylige, it's something different and tbh it is quite obvious that Microsoft tried to focus more on tablets & smartphones rather than computers with this release. I can't say I mind though, the new interface reminds me a lot of my Android phone and frankly I just like all the vibrant colors. But you have a point too Drew, some prefer having more creative control, nothing wrong with that. :3

Windows 8 as well as Macs are pandering more to the "casual" people where everything is done for you. I should probably reword what I said earlier, I like that they're trying to do something different but I still prefer the cookie cutter taskbar.

As for Linux, which distro were you planning on using?
